50% of House GOP Opposes Aid to Israel Package
We have always believed that the support of Israel is a bipartisan issue based on shared values.
Apparently Republicans don't feel the same way.
Last night over half of the House Republicans voted against expanding aid to Israel to $2.2 billion.
Just as in 2007 when the House GOP took the rare step of putting allegiance to religious fundamentalism over the support of Israel when 164 House Republicans voted against expanding aid to Israel (and 147 House Republicans voted to try to cut aid to Israel), the House GOP again has continued to backpedal from its support for Israel when it counts the most. 95 House Republicans rebuffed the Pro-Israel community and voted against the 2010 aid package.
